Islam has historically honored women in society by elevating their status and providing protection via unprecedented human rights. Islam and its beautiful liberties encourages women have the right to education, to marry someone of their choice, to retain their identity after marriage, to divorce, to work, to own and sell property, to seek protection by the law, vote, and to participate in civic and political engagement. We at the PIC recognize this equality and incorporate it in our policies, procedures, and practices. Our sisters committee is made of a group of dynamic and highly skilled sisters that hold programs to encourage and influence the sisters in our community to recognize their potential, fuel their passion, and aim for the stars.
