Sisters Committee & Program

Islam has historically honored women in society by elevating their status and providing protection via unprecedented human rights. Islam and its beautiful liberties encourages women have the right to education, to marry someone of their choice, to retain their identity after marriage, to divorce, to work, to own and sell property, to seek protection by the law, vote, and to participate in civic and political engagement. We at the PIC recognize this equality and incorporate it in our policies, procedures, and practices. Our sisters committee is made of a group of dynamic and highly skilled sisters that hold programs to encourage and influence the sisters in our community to recognize their potential, fuel their passion, and aim for the stars. Such programs include but are not limited to: 

Muslimah Conference
Muslimah conference on Saturday Feb 10, 2018. The conference explored and discussed; Self Esteem and Self Confidence | a day to day challenge faced by many sisters.

Ladies Racket Ball Coaching
Ladies Racket Ball coaching at the Pickering Recreation Center. A professional coach trained  ladies of all ages to learn how to play Racket ball. It was also a great opportunity for sisters to meet and socialize with other ladies.

Coffee & SPA
On Sunday, January 20, 2019 a complimentary training event for hand and shoulder massages for hardworking wives and mothers along with a discussion on self care featuring certified life coach.
