Dear Respected Parents/Guardians, we hope that this finds you in the best of your Imaan and health. Please take note of the following updates and reminders below:

 

2020-2021 Calendar Update:

There has been a slight change to the year end dates for EQS. Please see the new dates below.

 

June 30 – Parent Teacher Interview (Progress Update)

July 1 – Canada Day (Holiday)

July 5 – Review Day

July 6 – Exams Day 1 (Islamic Studies)

July 7 – Exams Day 2 (Surah & Dua)

July 8 – Exams Day 3 (Qur’an/Qaida)

July 12 – Jalsa Rehearsal

July 13 – Jalsa Day 1 (schedule will be sent next week)

July 14 – Jalsa Day 2 (schedule will be sent next week)

July 15 – No Class

 

Parent Teacher Interview:

All classes will be having their PTI tomorrow Wednesday June 30th during EQS time. Please check with your child’s teacher for your meeting time.

 

Review Sheets & Exams:

Insha’Allah the exams will be done online this year again. Please ask your child’s teacher for review sheet and any important areas of focus for the exams. Teachers will be sharing the review sheets over Remind App.

 

Year End Jalsa:

Insha’Allah students will be welcomed back at the Masjid for a in-person Jalsa on the 13th and 14th of July. More details will be shared next week.

 

Re-Registration:

Re-registration for 2021-2022 will be starting next week on Monday July 5th. Instructions will be shared over the weekend Insha’Allah.

 

We continue to make dua that these difficult times that we are all facing end with a healthy result, and may Allah protect us all from this virus.

We wish you all a very Happy Eid Mubarak! We hope your Eid days were blessed with happiness and joy.

 

Reminder:

 

Our classes will resume on Monday May 17 at 5:30PM (today) Insha’Allah.

The ID’s and Passwords will be the same as before Ramadan.

 

Note: Classes will be cut short by 15 minutes today to end the school at 7PM.

 

Group 1: 5:30PM – 6:15PM
Group 2: 6:15PM – 7:00PM

Dear Respected Parents/Guardians, we hope that this finds you in the best of your Imaan and health.

 

We hope you had a great summer holiday and would like to welcome you back to Evening Quran School for the year of 2020-2021

 

Registrations:

  • New registrations are now open. Please inform your friends and relatives about the registrations.
  • Re-Registrations:
    • The admin office will be calling all parents starting Sunday to complete re-registrations over the phone.
    • You may also reply to this email with your children(s) name and teacher’s name, if they will be returning back.
    • If yes, the annual books amount ($25.00) will be automatically deducted from the bank account in the month of September. The amount covers the books and supplies cost for the upcoming year.
      • For students in Level 1 Qaida, the amount will be ($10.00)
    • If your child is not returning, please inform us by September 7th , 2020 so we can stop the monthly withdrawals.
    • If you have already unregistered your child, please disregard this email

Updates:

  • Classes will resume from Tuesday September 8th at 5:30pm
    • Classes will be held ONLINE until otherwise safe to reopen in-class
      • A re-assessment will be done every month and parents will be notified through email for any changes.
    •  A follow up email will be sent by next week outlining the class Zoom ID’s, Remind ID’s, and teachers names
    • An assembly will be held for all the students on the second week of the school, where they will be taught about school rules, and other expectations.
    • Students are reminded to please dress appropriately and must obey the dress code:
      • Girls: Abaya with head scarf
      • Boys: Jubba (Tobe) or Shalwaar Kameez with an Islamic hat (Topi)

(JK/SK students excluded)

    • A pick-up date will be shared next week for parents to pick up their children(s) Islamic studies books.
